Amitbhai Anilchandra Shah popularly known as Sh. Amit Shah in addition to his crucial role as the Union Minister of Home Affairs assumed charge of the Ministry of Cooperation in 2021, the same year in which it was created. Often likened to modern day Chankaya, he has continued to play a pivotal role in shaping key policies, including the abrogation of Article 370 and the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and has been the key strategist for the India story of growth globally. He is also known to have never lost an election that he has contested. Shah is credited for the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam replacing the Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, and the Indian Evidence Act, marking a significant shift towards a more efficient and effective legal framework.
