Sh. Akhilesh Yadav, the current President of Samajwadi Party has led his party to be the third largest party in the current Lok Sabha with 37 seats denting BJMP’s mega dream of “400 paar” in 2024 LS elections. He has carved a unique image for himself with politics based on a clean image, infrastructural projects and welfare schemes. Akhilesh’s tenure as one of the youngest CM’s could boast of infrastructure projects like the Agra-Lucknow Expressway and emphasis on technological reform including distributing free laptops to students. These were in huge contrast to the caste and religious identities, which remain central for large parts of the electorate in UP. His influence is especially significant in UP, India's most populous state, which often shapes the nation's political trajectory.
