Sh. Ajit Doval has been India's National Security Advisor (NSA) since 2014 and is widely regarded as the chief architect of India's modern security framework. Often referred to as the "James Bond of India," he is the first NSA serving his third term. Doval has played a crucial role in shaping India’s security and defense strategies, focusing on counter-terrorism, intelligence coordination, and strengthening India’s global security posture. He is often credited for the Modi government’s aggressive posture against cross-border terrorism including surgical strikes inside Pakistan. He was the first policeman to be decorated with the Kirti Chakra, the second-highest peacetime gallantry award behind Ashok Chakra.
