Sh. Ashwini Vaishnaw is India’s Minister of Railways, Communications, and Electronics & IT, With a background as an IAS officer and an engineer, he has implemented innovative reforms that have positioned India at the forefront of technological progress and connectivity. In 2024, under his stewardship, the Vande Bharat Express trains were introduced, marking a significant milestone in India’s journey toward high-speed rail innovation. Under his leadership the Indian Railways spent more than Rs 5,000 crore on preparations for the Maha Kumbh in the past two years living up to its reputation of the fourth largest national railway system by size globally. An alumni of Wharton Business School has also been a key architect in the rollout of 5G technology, making India one of the global leaders in digital connectivity.
