Sh. Arvind Kejriwal was awarded the Ramon Magsaysay Award for his involvement in the Parivartan movement using right to information legislation in a campaign against government corruption in 2006, later he floated the Aam Aadmi Party and became the CM of Delhi thrice and resigned in November 2024. Kejriwal is seen as an important leader for galvanising Opposition forces against the BJP and its allies. Kejriwal has been embroiled in an excise duty case that led to his arrest and he spent a few months in jail for the same. He is now paving way for AAP’s victory in February 2025 Delhi elections.
