Sh. Ruskin Bond is one of India’s most beloved authors and poets and has remained so for more than seven decades. He is known for his timeless works of fiction that have captured the imagination of readers for over five decades. Bond, who has written over 300 short stories, essays and novels and more than 30 books for children besides several other works, is the recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1992 and awarded the Sahitya Academy fellowship in 2024.
